How it’s done:
With the turntable stationary, place the gauge on the spindle and turn it towards the tonearm.
Measurement point “B” Offset angle
1. Now move the gauge and tonearm until the stylus tip can be precisely placed on point “B.” In this position, check whether the side edges of the cartridge are parallel to the lines printed on the alignment template. If this is the case, proceed to step 3.
2. If the edges are not parallel, the cartridge must be moved forward or backward in the slots of the headshell until the edges align with the printed lines on the template.
Measurement point “A” Overhang
3. Repeat the same procedure at measurement point “A.” The cartridge should only be moved within the slots of the headshell. Compare and adjust measurement points “A” and “B” until both points are parallel to the lines printed on the alignment template.
4. Once achieved, carefully tighten the screws. Then, check both measurement points again. If the settings are still correct, the alignment is complete.
